About The Position
HealthDrive is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our team. With over 30 years of experience, HealthDrive is a leading provider of dental services to residents in senior living communities nationwide. As an RDA with HealthDrive, you will assist Dentists in performing clinical and non-clinical duties for residents in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long-term care facilities. This role involves travel to assigned facilities, potentially to more than one location per day, and requires a commitment to providing patient-centered care. You will be part of a supportive team that offers concierge support.
Requirements
- High school Diploma or equivalent
- One year Dental Assistant experience
- Valid Driver's Licence and clean driving record
- Registered Dental Assistant
- Xray Certification
Responsibilities
- Prepares patients for dental procedures.
- Assists Dentist during dental procedures.
- Sterilizes or disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays and prepares materials.
- Records treatment information in patient records.
- Provides postoperative instructions prescribed by dentist.
- Assists dentist in the management of medical or dental emergencies.
- Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs.
- Clean and polish removable appliances.
- Make preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts.
- Adheres to OSHA guidelines regarding patient care, disposal of materials, and sterilization of equipment on a daily basis.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
