About The Position

The Registered CT Technologist provides computed tomographic radiographs to patients in accordance with physicians’ orders. The technologist prepares patients for CT exams, explains procedures, and ensures technical quality. The role supports patient care and the needs of the Imaging Department while promoting professional growth through mandatory and continuing education. The technologist also serves as a mentor and resource to less experienced staff and students.

Requirements

Associate degree.
ARRT Registered Radiographer credential required.
CT certification/licensure must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
At least one year of experience required.
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of the employment start date.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for CT exams, explain procedures, and ensure technical quality.
Meet mandatory and continuing education requirements to support professional growth and development.
Apply sufficient knowledge of medical terminology to work accurately within the Imaging Department.
Serve as a mentor and resource to less experienced staff and students.
Work as a team player and meet the needs of the Imaging Department.
