About The Position

Lakeview Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to work with radiologists and assist with a variety of procedures. The role supports patient care in a collaborative department where team members help one another and have opportunities to learn and develop. The technologist administers oral and IV contrast, evaluates patients for allergic reactions, places appropriate IVs, and operates a MedRad power injector. The position also involves operating CT scanning equipment, following ALARA standards and physician protocols, assisting interventional radiologists, maintaining a clean and stocked department, and helping patients onto and off the scanner table.

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 7 days of the employment start date.
• ARRT-R Radiography (RT) credential.
• Associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Administer oral and IV contrast, evaluate patients for allergic reactions, and place the appropriate IV for the exam.
• Load and operate the MedRad power injector.
• Operate and understand CT scanning equipment.
• Practice ALARA standards, understand physician protocols, and scan patients appropriately.
• Assist interventional radiologists with procedures.
• Maintain a clean work environment and stock the department with supplies and linens.
• Move, lift, and assist patients onto and off the scanner table.
