About The Position

Under general direction of Department Director and designee, the Registered Dietitian (RD) is responsible for ensuring clinical expertise for all food services and providing excellent customer service and patient satisfaction. The RD assists in providing guidance and education to staff to help create a positive work culture and cost effective management of all aspects of food services. Responsible for all food service-related activities; including patient care, non-patient care (retail, cafeteria, catering, etc.), quality improvement, sanitation, infection control and all hospital-related activities. The Registered Dietitian is responsible for providing comprehensive nutrition care and management for residents in a long-term care and skilled nursing facility, including those in the subacute/short-term rehabilitation unit. This position ensures residents receive individualized nutrition plans that promote optimal health, recovery, and quality of life. The Dietitian collaborates closely with the interdisciplinary care team to meet regulatory requirements, enhance clinical outcomes, and support residents’ nutritional well-being through evidence-based practice and compassionate care.
