About The Position

Tri-City Cardiology is seeking a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to providing quality patient care. The RCIS will be responsible for scrubbing and performing specialized procedures, managing inventory, and ensuring cost-effectiveness in collaboration with vendors and physicians.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Registered Cardiovascular Specialist Certification
  • Five years Cath Lab experience
  • Current ACLS/BLS certification
  • Eligibility to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Performs/scrubs diagnostic and/or interventional procedures.
  • Displays competency with injecting contrast media for associated procedures.
  • Assists with acquiring and opening product during procedure based on physician needs and orders.
  • Maintains safe working environment.
  • Assists team with patient turnover and room cleaning in between procedures.
  • Responsible for contributing to and maintaining computerized inventory management (SIS, Envi).
  • Cross-trained and competent to act as inventory specialist and able to assist staff in supply chain management, organization, and utilization.
  • Demonstrates professional behavior and conduct in all interactions.
  • Fosters and takes accountability for teamwork.
  • Holds accountability for ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities including confidentiality of all work and patient information.
  • Adequately informs and educates the patient/families regarding exams to be performed.
  • Maintains the ability to use/maintain equipment appropriately (IVUS/FFR/IFR, atherectomy/thrombectomy devices).
  • Demonstrates the ability to trouble-shoot and notify appropriate resources accordingly for equipment maintenance.
  • Participates in quality improvement regarding patient safety and care.
  • Interacts with physicians, patients, families, and external contacts, such as employees of other health care institutions, community providers and agencies, concerning the health care of the patient.
  • Demonstrates professional behavior and conduct in all interactions.
