About The Position

Peterson Health is seeking a PRN Registered Cardiac Echo Tech. The position works under the supervision of radiologists and the management team to acquire diagnostic images for interpretation and assists with invasive procedures as requested. Schedule flexibility is required. The role uses a Canon aplio i700.

Requirements

Associate degree in Radiologic Science and/or registry from ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI.
One of the following registries: ARRT, ARDMS, or CCI.
BLS CPR and vascular registry.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal relationship, decision-making, and patient care skills.
Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, positioning, techniques, radiation protection, and safety.
Knowledge of ultrasound physics and medical terminology.
Entry-level education as a registered ultrasound technologist.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science degree.
Multiple modality registry in abdomen, cardiac echo, vascular, and/or breast.
One year of experience as a registered ultrasound technologist.

Responsibilities

Acquire diagnostic images for interpretation under the supervision of radiologists and the management team.
Assist with invasive procedures as requested.
Determine correct probe utilization and placement for optimal imaging.
Examine images to evaluate techniques, positions, and related qualities.
Position patients and adjust equipment to produce the desired or optimum image of the required anatomy.
Operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently.
Adapt standard techniques as necessary to develop improved techniques and keep the department up to date.
Determine appropriate protocols to obtain optimum diagnostic images efficiently.
