About The Position

Registered Behavioral Technician - ABA Full and Part-Time positions available with flexible hours. This role offers career building opportunities within our behavioral health program and includes a $2500 sign-on bonus and a $5000 annual scholarship. The Registered Behavioral Technician is responsible for providing one-to-one behavioral support and intervention facilitation to a child or adolescent with a medically diagnosed developmental, intellectual, or behavioral health need. They will also provide caregiver training and family support to stabilize the child and family situation, facilitate skill transfer to parents/caregivers, prevent more restrictive services, and promote age-appropriate psychosocial growth. The RBT will follow a treatment plan and implement interventions developed by the Behavior Consultant or a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), delivering services in the home, school, or community setting. Responsibilities include mandatory monthly supervisions and trainings, and providing well-written progress notes and data collection.

Requirements

  • Board certified assistant behavior analyst certification (BCaBA)
  • Board certified autism technician (BCAT) certification
  • Certification as an RBT
  • Minimum of one-year experience working with children with developmental disabilities, and/or one year of experience working with children/adolescents in the provision of behavioral health services.
  • Supports the mission and values of Indian Creek Foundation and the Intensive Behavioral Health Services - ABA program.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as determined by program needs, which may include evening hours.
  • Satisfactory completion of post-offer pre-employment physical exam and drug test required.
  • Completion and clearance of yearly criminal background check, child abuse clearance and FBI Clearance.
  • Valid driver's license with a clear three-year driving record.
  • Ability to comply with HIPAA standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to file Childline reports as mandated by the Child Protective Service Law.
  • Complete required documentation for the Managed Care Company and agency.
  • Engages in professional demeanor as a representative of Indian Creek Foundation.
  • Exhibits behavior as set forth by the Code of Conduct in the performance of their duties.
  • Must meet requirements to maintain credential for RBT including supervision and RBT Competency renewals.
  • Completes annual compliance and HIPAA training and exhibits behavior as set forth by the Code of Compliance in the performance of their duties.
  • Ability to perform the physical duties required of Behavioral Health Technician (BHT).
  • Must have adequate mobility that requires frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching (vertical and horizontal), using fingers, hands, feet, legs and torso in providing various care.
  • The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must maintain skills necessary to safely and efficiently operate the following equipment and machines used in the performance of this job: Computer, Printer, Copier, Scanner, Fax.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years' experience in the provision of behavioral health services preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one behavioral support and intervention facilitation to a child or adolescent with a medically diagnosed developmental, intellectual, or behavioral health need.
  • Provide caregiver training and family support to caregivers in order to stabilize the child and family situation.

  • Prevent more restrictive services and promote age-appropriate psychosocial growth.
  • Follow a treatment plan and implement interventions developed by the Behavior Consultant or a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Deliver services in the home, school, or community setting.
  • Be responsible for mandatory monthly supervisions and trainings.
  • Provide well-written progress notes and data collection.
  • Works all authorized hours in accordance to each child's prescription for services.
  • Collaborates with treatment team members in the development of goals and interventions.
  • Provides transfer of skill to parents/caregivers through interventions such as modeling, parent coaching and interventions as written in the behavior plan.
  • Provides accurate, clear documentation on progress notes for each session.
  • Completes data collection at each session to assist in determining levels of progress.
  • Participates in monthly team meetings and group supervision meetings with clinical supervisor.
  • Maintains communication with treatment team to report obstacles, progress and/or concerns about treatment.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and implementation of CASSP principles.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Participates in yearly trainings as required by Indian Creek Foundation.
  • Participates in relevant trainings as they are available to help expand professional knowledge.
