NeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans. In the Behavioral Technician role, you will be responsible for ensuring behavior management programs are consistently implemented for people served. This role involves establishing and maintaining a therapeutic relationship by building rapport with the person served, following treatment plan goals and interventions utilizing sound judgment and seeking out appropriate consultation. You will collaborate with the family and treatment team members to provide behavior management techniques effectively and without disruption to the environment or other individuals. Additionally, you will educate parents/guardians on reinforcement and intervention information when requested, and promote safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors in order to build a repertoire of communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills. You will review the progress of people served objectively using behavior analytic methods, identify solutions to barriers, and make recommendations to the supervisor and behavior analyst when needed. Accurate data collection, timely and accurate documentation, and completion of incident reports are also key responsibilities. You will review daily updates for person served, implement programs, and train staff on implementation, ensuring proper implementation and retraining as needed by routinely communicating with staff. Scheduling and preparing for leisure activities to keep persons served engaged and active when therapy sessions are not taking place, attending clinical meetings, and providing up-to-date residential status of participants and identifying problem areas affecting the participant are also part of the role.
