ABOUT MINDCOLOR: Mindcolor Autism was founded in 2019 with the goal of providing compassionate, individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to families impacted by autism. ROLE: Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) are the most vital clinical members who deliver 1:1 treatment for our clients under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). RBTs use ABA techniques to teach a variety of skills such as functional communication, social skills, coping strategies, and many more!

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid RBT Certification preferred
Experience working with children (experience with behavioral or developmental needs preferred)
CPR/First Aid Certification (adult & child) — must be completed within 30 days of hire
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, data entry)
Strong communication, reliability, and time management skills
Team-oriented and professional in all situations
Reliable transportation to on-site location
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, assist with client needs, and maintain safety awareness
Comfortable supporting personal care needs (e.g., toileting, diaper changes)
Consistent availability (up to 40 hours/week) during center hours

Responsibilities

Spend the majority of your time (about 80%) working one-on-one or in small groups with clients, helping them build skills and confidence.
Use about 20% of your time for session notes, documentation, and other tasks that keep client care consistent and high quality.
Follow individualized plans created by a BCBA, implementing written protocols tailored to each client’s unique goals.
Participate in training, meet competency milestones, and actively practice ABA principles and strategies in your daily work.
Use evidence-based behavior management strategies and respond safely in challenging or high-stress situations.
Work closely with your BCBA supervisor and teammates, asking questions, seeking feedback, and sharing insights to support each child’s success.
Collect and input data with accuracy, ensuring treatment decisions are based on reliable information.
Communicate with caregivers within your scope, always prioritizing client safety, dignity, and progress.
Arrive prepared to start sessions on time and provide consistent support for clients and families.
Help prepare materials, maintain a safe and clean learning environment, and contribute to a positive center culture.
