About The Position

Through our BAYADA RBT Academy, we provide the training needed to become certified as a Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT). The BAYADA RBT Academy offers a training program to prepare you to become a Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT), with high-quality training grounded in evidence-based practices in adult learning and applied behavior analysis, including BAYADA University web-based courses, hands-on training and structured observation, and BAYADA study guides to prepare you for the RBT exam.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree OR 48 college credits including Math 100 and English 100 OR a High School Diploma/GED with Passage of the ParaPro Praxis assessment (BAYADA assistance available)
• No experience necessary
• Complete RBT Academy and pass the RBT Exam to become an RBT with BAYADA!

Responsibilities

• Work directly with students in the classroom, following the established service plan
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients and school teams.
• Respect the values, thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes of clients and families
• Implement behavior therapy techniques and collaborate with teachers to support the student in the classroom environment
• Document interventions and progress towards goals
• Collect behavior data as specified in client behavior plan
• Provide training, instruction, and assistance to help the student acquire and maintain skills and meet identified goals
• Provide support to the client in interpersonal skills, development, and maintenance of personal relationships, and building independence in their school routine
• Supports school age children to succeed with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
