Requirements

Associates or Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) OR be in enrolled in a College/University studying psychology, education, or special education or pursuing a degree in a related field.
Minimum- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Pass a Background Check
Have reliable transportation, a valid drivers’ license, and car insurance
Have at least one year of experience of working with children/teens with special needs (Highly Preferred) OR have at least one year of experience of working with children/teens (Preferred)
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT certified), or RBT in process (we will provide further training!)
Bilingual (Highly Preferred). Sign language a plus!
Candidates must display compassion, empathy, enthusiasm, kindness, goodwill, and reliability.
The position requires lifting, carrying, frequent walking, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and twisting in order to observe, assess, and interact with clients.

Responsibilities

Create a fun, rewarding experience to generate the highly motivating environment to increase level of skills development and performance for every client
Implement individualized applied behavior programming
Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy under the direction of a BCBA, BCaBA or Tier 2 Case Manager
Teach developmental milestones utilizing ABA techniques and principles
Effectively respond to and minimize challenging or disruptive behaviors
Collect data on ABA programming targets and utilize an online system to enter, track, and write a summary note at the end of each treatment session.
Provide support to parents, teachers, and caregivers by instructing strategies across all areas of the child's environment
Share creative ideas for activities to support reaching target goals.
Communicate frequently and effectively with team members
