Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, OR currently enrolled in a college/university program studying Psychology, Education, Special Education, or a related field
  • Minimum requirement: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must successfully pass a background check
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current car insurance required
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, frequent walking, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and twisting while interacting with clients

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of experience working with children or teens with special needs highly preferred
  • Experience working with children or teens preferred
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred, or currently in the process of obtaining certification (training provided)

Responsibilities

  • Create a fun, engaging, and motivating environment that promotes skill development and positive client outcomes
  • Implement individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment programs
  • Provide direct one-on-one ABA therapy under the supervision of a BCBA, BCaBA, or Case Manager
  • Teach developmental and behavioral skills using ABA principles and techniques
  • Effectively respond to and reduce challenging or disruptive behaviors
  • Collect and record data on client goals using an online documentation system, including session summaries completed after each treatment session
  • Support parents, teachers, and caregivers by modeling and teaching strategies across the child’s natural environments
  • Contribute creative ideas and activities to help clients achieve treatment goals
  • Maintain consistent and effective communication with team members to ensure high-quality care and collaboration
