About The Position
The Registered Behavior Technician will provide direct, in-person support to a verbal, highly communicative 4-year-old male client with moderate-to-severe behavioral challenges at the client’s home in Putnam Valley, NY. The role focuses on helping the client develop meaningful skills and navigate behavioral challenges through supportive, consistent interactions. The schedule is 25 hours per week during after-school hours, with consistent weekly hours. The employer offers competitive hourly compensation based on experience, qualifications, RBT certification status, and clinical experience.
Requirements
- RBT certification, preferred or required as applicable.
- Patience, flexibility, creativity, dependability, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to support a client with moderate-to-severe behavioral challenges.
- English language proficiency.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with higher-intensity behavioral needs.
- Background in psychology, education, or ABA.
Responsibilities
- Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Collect behavioral data.
