School- Based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
About The Position
Early Autism Services is seeking enthusiastic individuals from diverse backgrounds to apply for a school-based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) position in the Trussville and Vestavia Hills, AL areas. This role involves providing personalized 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children aged 2-11 in a school setting. The company provides training to help individuals build their careers as Behavior Technicians (BTs) and grow their skills as RBTs. RBTs will work under the supervision and guidance of experienced Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), supervisors, and mentors. This is a dynamic role requiring both physical and mental energy, offering interactive and engaging experiences with clients. Early Autism Services is committed to supporting the personal and professional growth of its RBTs.
Requirements
- Must obtain RBT certificate (paid training provided by EAS)
- Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- Must have a valid driver’s license, maintain automobile insurance, and have reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be 18 years of age or older at time of hire
Nice To Haves
- Registered Behavior Technician certification per the BACB (preferred but not required)
Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA
- Provide direct one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Collect and analyze data to track individual progress and make data-driven decisions
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to ensure consistent and effective implementation of interventions
- Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on progress and address concerns
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of sessions and progress reports
- Attend regular supervision and training sessions to enhance professional development
