About The Position

Centria is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism in a center-based setting. The technician implements individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), using evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills and reduce interfering behaviors. Comprehensive training is provided, including for candidates without prior experience. Candidates must obtain Registered Behavior Technician certification after completing onboarding. The role involves active work with children who may be unpredictable or confrontational, and requires frequent movement and the ability to lift or carry children or objects weighing up to 50 pounds. The stated pay range is $17–$20.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Be passionate about helping children with autism.
• Be patient and compassionate, and work well in a team environment.
• Be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and a tuberculosis test if one has not been completed within the last year.
• Pass a pre-employment background check.
• Be able to sit, squat, bend, and move through other positions needed for the role.
• Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Obtain Registered Behavior Technician certification after completing onboarding.
