Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

This position is available for full-time hours at our South Huntsville clinic. Child’sPlay Therapy Center is an Alabama-based pediatric therapy company that has been providing ST, OT, PT, MH services and now ABA services since 2007. Child’sPlay Therapy Center has state-of-the-art facilities with spacious treatment rooms, gyms, and office space.
Requirements
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred, but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Computer skills.
- Certificate, Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in a behavioral health or related field preferred, but not required.
- Able to provide consistent attention and care for the client, up to 2 hour long sessions
- Ability to sustain long periods of sitting or standing
- Excellent communications skills to effectively interact with patients
- Ability to bend, squat, lift, and lower a minimum of 20 pounds (must be able to lift and carry clients)
- Must be able to have flexible scheduling
- Ability to communicate with your team through phone and email in a timely manner
Responsibilities
- Provide individual treatment for individuals aged up to 21 years old.
- Implement learning programs under the supervision of a BCBA and collect data on target behaviors
- Deliver skills instruction to clients based upon the principles of applied behavior analysis.
- Collaborate with caregivers to evaluate and modify the behavior of children with special needs.
- Assist in providing training and guidance to parents, and other caregivers to help children overcome problems with communication, social skills, attention, or sensory integration.
- Communicate with therapists and other professionals on the child's progress.
- Complete documentation in a timely and accurate manner
