About The Position

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will direct one-on-one behavioral interventions to teach communication, social, and daily living skills and reduce problematic behaviors for elementary students at a Chester County based Public School. Founded in 1970 by a behavioral health hospital and incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 1983, TLC is an entrepreneurial social enterprise committed to transforming lives and communities—one moment, one choice, one connection at a time. Headquartered in Pennsylvania, TLC operates across multiple states, providing K-12 alternative education, comprehensive mental and behavioral health services, coaching, counseling, and trauma-informed training. Additionally, TLC collaborates with school districts, universities, hospitals, police departments, and nonprofit organizations, offering consultation services to secure federal and state grant funding.

Requirements

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification required
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work effectively on a multi-treatment team
  • Proficient in numerous clinical interventions
  • Knowledge of and ability to access community resources

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Previous behavior management experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support teachers by implementing classroom management intervention protocols to create a safe school environment
  • Provide direct client care for students in 1:1 and group settings utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements
  • Follow the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols
  • Collect, record, and summarize data on observable student behavior
  • Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding student progress
  • Utilize safe & appropriate handing procedures when working with students
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment
  • Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required trainings
