About The Position

We’re seeking a compassionate and adaptable BT/RBT to support students in the STRIVE program at an elementary school in Darlington, MD. This is a unique school-based opportunity where you’ll work as part of a special education classroom team, supporting multiple students with varying behavioral and developmental needs. Rather than working one-on-one with a single student, you’ll help implement individualized behavior strategies, promote positive classroom behaviors, and support students throughout their school day. You’ll work closely with the special education teacher and classroom team, who will provide the majority of day-to-day guidance and direction. Please note: Due to the structure of this school-based program, consistent BCBA supervision is not available at this location. As a result, RBT supervision hours cannot be signed off by a supervising BCBA, and this position does not provide a pathway from BT to RBT certification. Candidates interested in pursuing RBT certification through supervised fieldwork should consider our other ABA opportunities. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Prior experience as a Behavioral Tech or RBT
Valid state drivers license & reliable transportation
Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Commitment to client-centered, ethical, and evidence-based care
Allegiance to the mission, values, and vision of the organization
Ability to implement ABA treatment plans with fidelity under limited BCBA supervision, using evidence-based instructional methods.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to collect accurate behavioral data and complete timely, compliant documentation.
Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, professional conduct, and adherence to HIPAA quality standards
Ability to remain flexible in dynamic clinical environments and respond appropriately to client needs and session challenges.
Commitment to ongoing learning, supervision participation, and skill development within the RBT role.

Responsibilities

Provides direct, 1:1 and group-based ABA therapy services in homes, schools, communities, and clinic under the supervision of a BCBA.
Implements individualized treatment plans with fidelity.
Collects accurate behavioral data.
Supports skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs.
Contributes to caregiver training.
Ensures high-quality, ethical, and data-driven service delivery in alignment with organizational standards.
Delivers direct ABA services in 1:1 and group settings across clinic, home, school, and community environments under BCBA supervision.
Implements skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs with treatment fidelity as prescribed by the supervising BCBA.
Utilizes evidence-based teaching strategies, including discrete trial teaching (DTT), natural environment teaching (NET), and other approved methodologies.
Supports skill generalization and maintenance across settings and caregivers.
Accurately collects and records behavioral data, session notes, and treatment documentation in accordance with BCBA direction and organizational standards.
Ensures timely completion of session documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
Maintains integrity and accuracy of data to support clinical decision-making and outcomes monitoring.
Supports caregiver training and coaching under the direction of the supervising BCBA.
Collaborates with the treatment team, including caregivers and other professionals, to support consistent implementation of treatment plans.
Communicates professionally and appropriately with team members regarding client progress and session observations.
Maintains client confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA regulations and all organizational policies.
Follows all safety protocols, behavior support procedures, and ethical guidelines for ABA service delivery.
Maintains active RBT certification or actively works toward certification requirements.
Participates in supervision, competency assessments, and ongoing performance feedback from BCBA supervisors.
Prepares materials and session environments prior to service delivery to ensure readiness for therapy.
Maintains a clean, safe, and organized therapeutic environment in all service settings.
Utilizes appropriate clinical procedures, prompting hierarchies, and safety protocols as directed.
Participates in required training, continuing education, and competency development activities.
Accepts and responds to supervision, coaching, and performance feedback in a growth-oriented manner.
Represents the organization professionally in all interactions with clients, families, and team members.
