About The Position
Seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to work in schools within Wilmington, DE for the '26-'27 School Year. Devereux offers competitive pay starting at $26.32 - $30 per hour, a 10-month school day schedule (Mon-Fri: 8:15a-3:45p), comprehensive health benefits effective 30 days after hire, tuition and student loan assistance through their ASCEND Program, mission-driven work, and a supportive, collaborative team environment with opportunities for professional growth. Devereux Educational Strategies and Solutions (DESS) supports schools in areas such as early learning, academic interventions, safety practices, and the assessment and treatment of students with complex behaviors, cognitive challenges, and communication needs, using evidence-based practices with an emphasis on assisting school systems with special education populations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must hold current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working with children or adolescents in educational, clinical, or community settings preferred
- Experience supporting individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is strongly preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Implement BCBA-designed behavior intervention plans with fidelity in elementary school settings
- Provide direct support using prompting, reinforcement, skill-building, and behavior reduction strategies
- Collect and track session data, maintaining accurate documentation and reporting progress to the BCBA
- Follow safety and crisis protocols to ensure a secure learning environment
- Collaborate with school staff and maintain professional communication with teams and families
- Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and adherence to ethical and program standards
