TERI is hiring full-time Registered Behavior Technicians to provide direct support to children, students, young adults, and adults with autism and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities and varying behavioral support needs. Assignments may be in private schools, public-school classrooms through a nonpublic agency, clients’ homes, or an adult day program. The work includes 1:1, 2:1, and small-group support, on-site and community instruction, and flexible in-home shifts across North San Diego County. Positions pay $30 per hour and include guaranteed schedules, career growth, in-person BCBA supervision, benefits, and an emphasis on work/life balance. RBTs provide ABA, behavioral, educational, and skill-development support; implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans under BCBA and program leadership direction; and collect and maintain data to track progress and evaluate program effectiveness. They help individuals build communication, social, behavioral, adaptive living, functional, academic, and independence skills. Depending on the assignment, RBTs may also respond to challenging or high-risk behaviors using approved behavioral support, de-escalation, and crisis intervention strategies. RBTs work collaboratively with BCBAs, educators, families, clinical professionals, and interdisciplinary team members. They participate in supervision, training, team meetings, and documentation, and are expected to follow TERI standards and the BACB Code of Ethics and professional requirements. TERI describes its culture as mission-driven and supportive, with a commitment to wellness for staff and clients and an expectation that staff participate in its wellness programs and embrace its “Fit for Life” philosophy.
