About The Position

Centria is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism. The role involves implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), using evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. Comprehensive training is provided, including for candidates without prior experience. The work can be physically active and may involve interactions with children who can be unpredictable or confrontational. The position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families.

Requirements

• Passion for helping children with autism.
• Patience, compassion, and ability to work well in a team environment.
• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and a tuberculosis test if not completed within the last year.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move through positions such as sitting, squatting, and bending.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must obtain Registered Behavior Technician Certification from the BACB.
