About The Position

Centria is seeking enthusiastic Registered Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism in a center-based setting. The role implements individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), using evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills and reduce interfering behaviors. Comprehensive training is provided, including for candidates without prior experience. Candidates must obtain Registered Behavior Technician certification after completing onboarding. The work can involve unpredictable or confrontational behavior and substantial movement, including standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, and lifting or carrying children or objects weighing up to 50 pounds. The listed pay range is $19–$24.

Requirements

• Be passionate about helping children with autism.
• Be patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and a Tuberculosis test if one has not been completed in the last year.
• Be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Be able to move in various positions, including sitting, squatting, and bending.
• Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Obtain Registered Behavior Technician certification after completing onboarding.
