About The Position

An Active RBT Certification with the BACB is required for this position. This is a PART-TIME role located in All Sacramento County, with a schedule of Monday to Sunday, 2-8pm, requiring afternoon and evening availability. The work setting can be in-home or in-clinic. Compensation is $24–$25 per hour. This role is ideal for individuals who love working with children and seek a meaningful career, offering a valuable opportunity to explore or start a career in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). It supports children in developing communication, problem-solving, and social skills. The company is hiring both entry-level candidates and certified Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) ready to advance their careers. As an RBT at BTS, you will work 1:1 with children with autism or developmental delays to build essential skills through structured, play-based activities. Sessions are typically 2-3 hours long and can occur in the child's home, clinic, or school. The caseload is tailored to your availability and preferred age groups, ranging from toddlers to teens.

Requirements

  • Active RBT/ABAT/BCAT certification is required for this position.
  • If you do not have an RBT/ABAT/OR BCAT certification, you must complete a 40-hour RBT training course prior to employment.
  • Must maintain an active RBT/ABAT/BCAT as a requirement for continued employment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • This job requires reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
  • This job requires a CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain during onboarding)
  • This job requires a TB test (within 90 days), MMR & Varicella Immunization, and a Pre-employment Physical (within the past year).
  • This job requires a background check (FBI & DOJ).

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months of experience working or volunteering with children with intellectual disabilities is a must.
  • Candidates with an RBT, ABAT, or BCAT certification.
  • Current student or recent graduate in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Sociology, Biology, or related field.
  • Spanish-speaking is a plus!
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
  • Reliability and a willingness to work with a variety of clients

Responsibilities

  • Delivering one-on-one behavior support through fun, individualized activities
  • Implementing behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
  • Collecting and recording data on client progress accurately
  • Communicating regularly with families to provide updates and support
  • Participating in ongoing training, team meetings, and supervision sessions
