About The Position

InBloom Autism Services is hiring Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to join our diverse team at our learning center. The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is responsible for implementing client treatment plans and goals, as designed by BCBAs/BCaBAs, with utmost fidelity. The role involves providing direct one-on-one therapy, accurately collecting and recording data on client behaviors, and collaborating with supervising BCBAs/BCaBAs regarding client progress and individual client needs. The position requires strong communication skills, the ability to travel to various settings (as applicable), and a commitment to client confidentiality and professional development. Whether you are a certified RBT or new to the field of ABA, you will go through a proprietary training program to ensure you are ready to provide the highest quality care to our kiddos.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must meet all BACB eligibility requirements to obtain RBT certification.
• Ability to pass the RBT certification exam within the training period.
• Must obtain and maintain RBT certification through the BACB.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
• Have reliable transportation, driver's license, car insurance, and a smartphone
• Excellent time management, punctuality, and readiness to work!
• Absenteeism is not possible with our population of children, so consistent attendance is critical.
• A positive attitude, willingness to take direction from senior staff members, and ability to accept feedback
• Physical capacity to move quickly and respond to potentially aggressive behavior and de-escalate situations with clients.
• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, kneeling, bending, squatting, running and/or sitting in order to interact with clients.
• Must be able to move and lift up to 50 pounds to assist with client positioning or mobility.
• Adequate vision and hearing are needed to work with clients and staff.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree
• Currently enrolled in college or university
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field is a plus
• Early education, special education, childcare, or personal experience

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one therapy to clients in various settings including our Centers, homes and/or schools.
• Follow the behavior intervention plans designed by BCBAs to address specific behavioral goals and objectives for each client.
• Accurately collect and record data on client behaviors and responses during therapy sessions, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
• Collaborate with the supervising BCBAs to track and report client progress towards behavioral goals and adjust intervention plans as needed.
• Utilize approved behavior reduction techniques and strategies as outlined in the behavior intervention plan to address challenging behaviors.
• Assist clients in acquiring and developing functional skills, communication abilities, and appropriate social behaviors.
• Provide training and support to parents/caregivers on implementing behavior intervention techniques and strategies in the home environment.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards in behavior analysis while maintaining client confidentiality.
• Complete required paperwork, progress reports, and session notes.
• Maintain open communication with the BCBAs, parents/caregivers, and other team members involved in the client's treatment.
