About The Position
Adelphi is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide on-site therapy services for a School in Sarasota County, Florida. The ideal candidate will work closely with school administration to provide services to students in accordance with established guidelines and standards of practice.
Requirements
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
- Experience implementing behavior intervention plans in educational settings
- Ability to work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Minimum one (1) year of experience working with students in a school setting.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum one (1) year of experience working with children with autism or behavioral disabilities preferred
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
- Ability to work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
- Provide one-on-one behavioral support to students
- Collect and document behavioral data accurately
- Assist students in developing communication, social, and adaptive skills
- Support positive behavior interventions in classroom settings
- Collaborate with BCBAs, teachers, therapists, and school staff
- Assist with crisis prevention and de-escalation techniques when appropriate
- Maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality
- Participate in staff meetings and training as required
- Any other duties as assigned
