About The Position

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join their Pediatric Developmental Medicine team in Nashville, Tennessee. This full-time position involves providing direct treatment and behavior analysis services to young autistic children under the close supervision of Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). The role is part of a multidisciplinary team focused on early intervention services. Therapy is delivered in a clinic setting and at VUMC child-care facilities, utilizing a naturalistic and play-based model. The position requires active engagement in play with young children and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Requirements

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential or eligibility to become an RBT.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to learn intervention techniques.
  • Ability to respond to feedback regarding performance.
  • Ability to work professionally and respectfully with families and other team members.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.

  • Demonstrated experience working with young children.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering behavior analysis services.
  • Provide direct treatment to clients under the direction and close supervision of Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
  • Provide 1:1 ABA services.
  • Engage in physically active play with young children.
  • Communicate effectively in written, electronic, and verbal interactions with families and coworkers.
  • Manage time efficiently to meet all project task deadlines.
