School-based Registered Behavior Technician / RBT
About The Position
Make a difference every day by joining CCRES as a Registered Behavior Technician / RBT in Octorara School District! A Registered Behavior Technician / RBT is a paraprofessional who can work directly with students who have significant behavioral and/or instructional needs including students who require daily implementation of a crisis management plan; require complex verbal behavior programming; and/or extensive data collection, graphing, and analysis. The RBT is responsible for the direct implementation of behavior-analytic services including instruction and behavioral support. The RBT practices under the close, ongoing supervision of a BCBA.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalency
- National certification as an RBT - active
- Must have availability to work Monday through Friday following the academic calendar year
- Current certification in both CPR/First Aide and Crisis Prevention Intervention trainings
- PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
- PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
- PA Department of Education FBI
- TB Screening - current within 3 months
- Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcript
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience utilizing Safety Care and/or physical management techniques is highly preferred
- Familiarity with using various methods of data collection
- Will consider applicants with completed 40 hours of RBT training designed to meet the 2026 training eligibility requirement for RBT certification
- Worked a minimum of 1 year directly with individuals with special needs
Responsibilities
- Direct implementation of behavior-analytic services including instruction and behavioral support
- Practices under the close, ongoing supervision of a BCBA
- Maintain RBT certification as mandated by the BACB
- Maintain current certification in both CPR/First Aide and Crisis Prevention Intervention trainings
- Travel between school buildings
