About The Position

Golden Steps ABA is hiring a Registered Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one applied behavior analysis services to children and young adults with autism. RBTs follow individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA and work with children and families to support progress in communication, social, and daily living skills. The role includes guidance from a supervising BCBA, collaboration with the clinical team, paid training, ongoing supervision, and professional development opportunities. Work takes place in clients’ homes or in the community. The position is part-time, with afternoon and evening hours available.

Requirements

• Current RBT certification or willingness to complete RBT training and certification, if applicable to the opening.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clear communication, reliability, and a commitment to learning.
• Ability to meet applicable background check requirements.
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation if travel to client homes is required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children or individuals with autism or disabilities is helpful but not required.
• Experience in childcare, education, special education, or a related field can be a strong foundation.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one ABA services to children and young adults with autism, following BCBA-developed treatment plans.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills through individualized sessions.
• Use client-specific treatment strategies and behavior support plans.
• Record session data and complete documentation accurately and on time.
• Share observations and questions with the supervising BCBA.
• Participate in supervision, training, and team meetings.
• Build respectful, professional relationships with clients and families.
