Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / Behavior Technician (BT)
About The Position
Therapy & Beyond is seeking Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) or Behavior Technicians (BTs) to provide one-on-one, play-based, ABA therapy services to pediatric and adolescent patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Under the supervision of a BCBA, teammates will follow Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and help patients further develop communication, motor skills, academic readiness, social skills, and independence. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about helping families with autism thrive, whether entry-level or experienced. Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Completed High School Diploma or GED
- Graduates (or a degree in progress) within the field of: Psychology, Special Education, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Child Development, Social Work & Counseling
- Dependable, creative, innovative, and energetic
Nice To Haves
- Individuals with experience in the following fields are encouraged to apply: paraprofessionals, nannies, babysitters, caregivers, teachers or Montessori guides, coaches, tutors, camp counselors
Responsibilities
- Facilitate 1:1, naturalistic therapy services within a clinic-based environment
- Track patient progress over time by collecting data and submitting clinical documentation
- Following behavior intervention plans (BIPs) as outlined by your BCBA Supervisor
- Communicate professionally and consistently with clinical management and families
- Assist patients with daily living skills such as feeding and toileting
- Adhere to patient confidentiality by following HIPAA guidelines
- Provide behavioral support within speech or occupational therapy sessions
- Obtain RBT Certification within your first 60 days of employment
