Requirements

  • Bachelors degree and Registered Behavior Technician Certification, or willing to obtain and maintained registration as Behavior Technician within the first six (6) months of hire OR Associates degree or 60 semester hours and RBT Certification and 5 years of behavior experience in the school setting
  • Must successfully complete Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training within three months of hire and maintain annual recertification
  • Possess and maintain current certification of CPR/First Aid
  • High School Diploma
  • BA and RBT Cert, AA or 60 hours and RBT Cert and resume showing 5 years of behavior experience
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (3)

Responsibilities

  • Works under the direct supervision of Vacaville Unified School District Behavior Analysts in the supervision and instruction of special education students in a variety of settings, including the community and classroom
  • Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of behavior intervention programs for identified special education students
  • Implement classroom behavior systems in regionalized special education programs
  • Attend student progress meetings
  • Assist students with and demonstrate proper physical care and hygiene
  • Other duties as assigned
