About The Position

Under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the RBT Floater provides clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children with autism and related developmental disabilities in the home, clinic, community, and school settings. This role is unique in that the Floater position is designed to provide flexible coverage across multiple clients, staff absences, and service locations, ensuring continuity of care and consistent implementation of treatment plans.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 2 years experience as an RBT.
  • Availability of working 40 hours weekly, including some flexibility regarding schedule changes required to accommodate patient needs
  • Must have reliable transportation for sessions at patient’s homes and schools, and possess a clean driving record and proof of automobile insurance
  • Strong technology skills for data collection and entry
  • Professional written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude, while being an active participant who contributes to team activities, meetings, and trainings
  • Ability to set and achieve goals that benefit the patient, the team, and the BT/RBT
  • Ability to receive feedback, coaching, and counseling while maintaining a positive attitude and commitment to be a continuous learner
  • Ability to pass a background screen, reference checks, and drug screen

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant college degree and coursework is preferred
  • Desire to work with children
  • Experience with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work 1:1 with patients in the home, school, clinic, and community settings, with the ability to transition between cases and environments as needed.
  • Consistently implement treatment plans with fidelity (under BCBA’s direction) and prepare program materials, addressing domains such as toilet training, communication, social, and adaptive living skills.
  • Collect and maintain accurate data and clinical notes utilizing data collection software.
  • Review and implement consultation/supervision note recommendations.
  • Provide flexible case coverage when regular staff are absent or when new cases are initiated.
  • Participate in on-going training, evaluations, and meetings, as required.
  • Assist with parent training and clinical assessments, as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with the BCBA regarding learner progress.
  • Communicate appropriately and effectively with colleagues and families.
  • Track supervision hours and annually renew the RBT certification as mandated by the regulatory body.
  • Work ethically and with integrity while following the BACB Ethical Code.
  • Understand and adhere to HIPAA policies.
  • Adhere to time and attendance policies, maintaining regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Adhere to Cultivate Management Corp policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
