WE BELIEVE IN THE TRANSFORMATIONAL POWER OF COMFORT Job Summary: This position oversees operations of up to 10 cross-dock facilities, ensuring timely, cost-effective distribution of furniture and home goods. This role manages inventory flow, 3PL partnerships, and delivery performance to support company stores, dealers, and customers. Working closely with senior leadership, the manager drives strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and scale operations in line with business growth. Job Description: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead cross-dock operations across a wide region, managing up to 30 employees and 7–10 site leaders. Ensure efficient movement of goods through the network to stores and customers, optimizing delivery schedules and lead times. Collaborate with supply chain teams to integrate cross-dock processes with inventory, fulfillment, and logistics functions. Manage 3PL providers for inbound/outbound logistics, ensuring service quality, cost control, and contract compliance. Maintain best practices for inventory handling, safety, and data accuracy. Track and report KPIs including productivity, cost, delivery performance, and customer satisfaction. Leverage WMS/TMS systems to improve operational visibility and efficiency. Support company initiatives such as store openings, new product rollouts, and geographic expansion. Coordinate with retail and merchandising teams to align distribution with demand. Drive continuous improvement in process efficiency, safety, and service quality. Oversee third-party delivery operations, focusing on timely, high-quality customer fulfillment. SCOPE & IMPACT: Oversees up to 10 cross-dock locations within a large geographic region. Influences operational cost-efficiency and on-time delivery performance for hundreds of retail locations and direct-to-customer shipments. Responsible for managing and ensuring compliance across multiple 3PL contracts, impacting transportation budgets and customer satisfaction. Directly supports strategic growth initiatives, including new store launches and regional expansions. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field with 6-8 years of related (logistics, distribution, transportation) experience, or equivalent. 3+ years of multi-site or regional leadership experience. Experience managing third-party logistics (3PL) providers. Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS). Strong understanding of cross-dock operations and last-mile delivery networks. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time within the assigned region. Valid driver’s license. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related discipline. Experience in the furniture or home goods industry. Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement certifications. Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive operational decisions. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises 7–10 cross-dock site leaders. Indirectly oversees up to 30 total employees including warehouse staff and logistics personnel. Responsible for performance management, hiring, and development of site-level leadership.
