The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) is seeking a Regional Water Planner (Planner II-III) to perform routine to highly complex planning work for the Regional Water Planning Department. This role involves supporting, coordinating, and managing planning grant contracts for the development of regional water plans. The position serves as a liaison (non-voting member) on regional water planning groups, providing unbiased technical and administrative assistance. Responsibilities include helping groups navigate the planning framework, rules, and guidance; reviewing regional water plan drafts; creating presentations; and educating stakeholders. The role also supports regional water project development teams, evaluates projects for the agency's funding application process, and assists in developing the state water plan. The position may involve training others and requires moderate to limited supervision with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment. The role reports to the Manager of the Regional Water Planning Department.
