About The Position

The Regional Vice President owns all operational and financial performance for an assigned portfolio of properties. You'll drive optimum results by designing and executing the programs, initiatives, and strategies that keep every community performing at its best. This role involves extensive travel across the assigned region and corporate location(s), along with the ability to respond to issues outside of normal operating hours.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; CPM designation and certified LIHTC preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ years property management experience required; minimum 3+ years of Yardi software experience.
  • Prior experience with tax credit/affordable and market rate communities and regions.
  • Multi-site property management and lease-up experience strongly preferred.
  • Residential, Multi-Family Property Management experience required
  • Mixed portfolio experience with both Market Rate and Affordable required
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritize
  • Exceptional resident relations skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Organized, detailed, and thorough
  • Computer literate and proficient in MS Office and Yardi
  • Executive leadership skills

Nice To Haves

  • Extensive experience managing tax credit/affordable (LIHTC) and market rate communities in multi-family housing is highly preferred and will make you stand out!
  • Proven track record managing growth portfolios, new construction, rehabilitations, and existing properties
  • Bachelor's Degree or CPM designation preferred
  • Hands-on experience with Yardi property management software
  • Certified LIHTC preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive direction for all property operations within your portfolio, ensuring the Company and Owner financial and business objectives are achieved
  • Direct, supervise, mentor, and develop a team of associates across multiple real estate disciplines
  • Review portfolio performance, evaluating marketing, leasing, pricing, and financial strategies
  • Prepare annual budgets and business plans, including re-forecasts throughout the year
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with business reports, plans, and budgets
  • Serve as the key liaison between owners and the portfolio management team
  • Guide portfolio and maintenance supervisors through employee and resident conflict resolution
  • Monitor resident satisfaction and retention, keeping every community aligned with RPS standards
  • Uphold internal and external customer service quality across residents, vendors, brokers, and owners
  • Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with RPS safety and cleanliness policies, partnering with the Director of Maintenance and/or Regional Maintenance Supervisors to resolve outstanding issues
  • Review and approve monthly, quarterly, discretionary, and annual bonus and commission expenses
  • Partner with Payroll, Accounting, Human Resources, IT, Legal, and Risk Management to support your supervisors
  • Lead regular informational meetings with direct reports
  • Promote and participate in RPS-sponsored training and continuing education, including Fair Housing, safety, discrimination, and harassment prevention
  • Ensure all associates complete mandatory training within required deadlines
  • Ensure compliance with RPS national operating standards and all Federal, State, and Local Regulations (EEOC, OSHA, LIHTC, Fair Housing, etc.)
  • Prepare and analyze reports as directed by RPS officers
