Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in pricing/network in the transportation industry required.
  • 4+ years progressively responsible leadership experience required.
  • Must have proven leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to influence other without formal authority.
  • Must have proven negotiation skills.
  • Must be able to collaborate with other executive leaders.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute pricing, sales strategies and network strategies for assigned brand or LOB or geographic region.
  • Oversee all pricing and network planning activities for assigned brand or LOB ensuring appropriate staffing, operating within budget constraints and that meet organizational requirements and customer expectations.
  • Ensure assigned employees have career development plans that provide the organization with strong bench strength for future leaders and specialized individual contributors.
  • Provide a visionary road map for assigned brand or LOB pricing and network strategy based on analysis of market trends and dialogue with customers.
  • Develop innovative solutions that anticipates customer requests/needs.
  • Oversee negotiations of rates and contracts with customers.
  • Develop and implement business strategy to differentiate assigned brand or LOB from its competitors and provide for growth in revenue and customers.
  • Design and develop enhanced procedures for processing pricing requests and customer bids through the pricing, contract, and billing cycles.
  • Build, maintain and improve customer relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Maximize customer/partnership opportunities in order to generate increased revenue.
  • Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objective.
