As the Regional Vice President, Operations, you will be responsible for maintaining operational and instructional fidelity across education programs within a defined geography— ensuring curriculum, instruction, and assessment are delivered with rigor, consistency, and measurable impact. As the chief educational assurance agent, you'll ensure consistent compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ChanceLight standards while empowering teams to deliver positive, equitable learning outcomes for every student, every day. This position works under general direction from the Sr. Vice President, Operations in overseeing all site operations and functions as the liaison between the site and the school districts’ designated site contacts by establishing and maintaining positive, interactive, working relationships.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in education, special education, behavioral health or a closely related field of study.
  • Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a valid OH state education administrator, school principal or related credential.
  • Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining one or more of the following OH state special education instruction credentials: Intervention Specialist - Mild/Moderate Educational Needs (K-12), Intervention Specialist - Moderate/Intensive Educational Needs (K-12), Primary Intervention Specialist (PK-5)
  • Minimum 3yr's prior experience working in an education administration or leadership role, preferably in an alternative, special education and/or behavioral health program setting.
  • Prior experience overseeing multi-site schools, education, and/or behavioral health program operations strongly preferred.
  • Effective budgetary management skills and comprehensive knowledge of administrative and school operations, functions, and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of applicable state licensure, certification, accreditation laws and regulations.
  • Prior experience and/or knowledge in special education services and compliance, effective teaching strategies, classroom management systems, data-based decision making, and personalized learning.
  • Prior experience and highly skilled in providing training, professional development and/or coaching to teachers and education staff.
  • Well-versed in applied behavior analysis (ABA) including functional behavior assessment (FBA), positive behavior interventions and support (PBIS) and behavior intervention plans (BIP's).
  • Highly skilled in working with children with learning disabilities, emotional behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders and/or other related disabilities.
  • History of success building credibility, effectively managing multiple projects and collaborating effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to manage complex and/or sensitive information, maintaining confidentiality and objectivity.
  • Proficiency in providing motivation and having critical conversations with students that help move them toward realistic goals.
  • Highly skilled in building relationships with students, parents, teachers and community and/or district partners.
  • Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making ability.
  • Knowledge of relevant technology including experience with instructional technology, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry and basic office equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Building regular, effective, and professional relationships with district partners, including senior-level district personnel, program liaisons, principals, and other key stakeholders to support partnership growth, stakeholder satisfaction, and long-term program success.
  • Providing training, coaching, and professional development to regional leadership teams, including Program, School, and Center Directors, to strengthen district and community relationships, promote ChanceLight Education services, and maximize enrollment and program utilization.
  • Coordinating cross-functional collaboration with Facilities, IT, Human Resources, Program Operations, Recruiting, Finance, and other internal teams to ensure successful school, program, and center operations.
  • Serving as a strategic resource and operational leader for regional leadership teams, district partners, and School, Program, and Center Directors.
  • Partnering with key stakeholders, including site leadership, district personnel, and executive leadership, to resolve operational challenges, address partner concerns, and drive timely solutions.
  • Ensuring accurate data integrity, reporting, and communication with district partners in alignment with contractual obligations and district-specific requests.
  • Maintaining the quality, integrity, and compliance of school, program, and center operations through regularly scheduled site visits, documented audits, and adherence to ChanceLight policies, procedures, and contractual requirements.
  • Establishing clear, consistent, and professional communication with parents, staff, district partners, and other stakeholders while representing ChanceLight as a positive and trusted liaison.
  • Delivering ongoing professional development to site leadership on instructional practices, employee relations, financial management, operational excellence, and other key leadership topics.
  • Collaborating with the Business Development team to cultivate relationships with prospective partners, support new program design, assist with presentations, and represent ChanceLight at district, regional, and national education-related meetings and conventions.
  • Leading the development, launch, and implementation of new startup programs within the assigned region, including providing on-site supervision, operational support, guidance, and training to ensure successful execution.
  • Developing regional management and organizational plans in partnership with Directors to create annual operating plans, support regional growth, and achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • Analyzing regional financial and budgetary performance in collaboration with site leadership, the SVP, and Finance Department to monitor budgets, identify trends, and implement financial adjustments as needed.
  • Serving as a liaison between site leadership, divisional leadership, and corporate teams to promote alignment, communication, and execution of organizational priorities.
  • Collaborating with Human Resources on staffing, succession planning, performance management, leadership development, personnel matters, and employee relations while supporting site leadership in managing workforce-related issues.
  • Monitoring regional compliance with contractual obligations, certification standards, accreditation requirements, renewal timelines, and organizational quality assurance expectations.
  • Utilizing the Integrity Assurance Review and Accountability Matrix to assess programmatic and operational compliance, identify deficiencies, and support site leadership in developing and executing improvement plans.
  • Visiting schools, programs, and centers regularly to evaluate operational performance, support continuous improvement, and ensure adherence to internal and external quality assurance standards, including accreditation and state approval requirements.
  • Leveraging data from Integrity Assurance Reviews, Accountability Matrix results, student performance data, and other operational metrics to guide programmatic decisions, strengthen instruction, and improve outcomes.
  • Supporting site leadership in implementing school action plans and improvement plans based on internal and external performance data.
  • Performing additional duties aligned with the purpose of the role to support organizational success, operational excellence, and continued growth.
