About The Position

The Regional UA Admissions Advisor serves as the field representative for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions for an assigned regional area. Recruits students to attend The University of Alabama by creating awareness about the University, its programs, and scholarship opportunities. Coordinates recruiting efforts with local alumni chapters. Identifies prospective qualified undergraduate students. Plans student receptions and counselor briefings. Analyzes data on current and future territories and markets. Travels to recruit students to attend The University of Alabama when requested by supervisor based on Admissions priorities to provide leadership in identifying and enrolling undergraduate students. Serves as primary contact with local high school guidance counselors and principals. Coordinates recruiting efforts with local alumni chapters. Identifies prospective qualified undergraduate students. Plans student receptions and counselor briefings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of recruitment, university admissions, public relations, marketing, sales, or communications experience; OR master's degree and some recruitment, university admissions, public relations, marketing, sales, or communications experience.
  • Must have valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies.
  • Interest in working with prospective college students and their families.
  • Ability to work with various groups of people.
  • Basic desktop computing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business, public relations, marketing, communications, education, or counseling.
