About The Position

Reporting to the Associate Director of Admissions (ADOA), we are hiring an Admissions Advisor to join our team. As our new Admissions Advisor, you will inspire and guide prospective students interested in advancing their careers through the programs offered by Toronto Film School. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will connect with prospective students, follow up on marketing-generated leads, understand each applicant's goals, and help them navigate the admissions process with confidence from initial inquiry through enrollment. This is a remote role based in Ontario, with the ability to attend campus 2–3 times per term for events.

Requirements

  • Proven sales performance with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets in a relationship-based sales environment.
  • Proven ability to convert warm leads into outcomes, leveraging sales and marketing collateral to drive engagement.
  • Experience using CRM tools and technology to manage, track, and progress prospects through the funnel.
  • Initiative and resilience: take action when challenges arise, look for opportunities to improve outcomes, and maintain a strong, positive attitude.
  • Ability to step into difficult situations, take ownership, and push forward even when faced with obstacles, rejection, or ambiguity.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills: active listener and consultative seller who builds trust through clear, empathetic, and confident communication.
  • Excel at phone-based relationship-building, asking thoughtful questions and influencing decisions by understanding motivations, addressing concerns, and aligning solutions with individual goals.
  • Genuine passion for the creative arts, including film, television, and gaming, and excitement to connect with prospective students who want to turn their creativity into an education and career path.
  • Comfortable working with both prospective students and internal academic or administrative partners.
  • Drive, ownership, and follow-through: entrepreneurial mindset, taking ownership of pipeline and results.
  • Motivated by goals, performance metrics, and financial rewards.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with prospective students through timely, supportive follow-up on warm leads and inquiries, consistent outbound outreach, follow-up, and pipeline management.
  • Build trust and develop a deeper understanding of each prospective student’s creative, academic, and career goals, helping them explore the Toronto Film School program that best aligns with what they want to achieve.
  • Ensure program alignment and support students through the full application journey from initial interest through to registration and course access.
  • Represent Toronto Film School at recruitment events and through ongoing outreach initiatives.
  • Build your knowledge of our programs, learning experiences, student services, and the creative industries they prepare students to enter, sharing relevant information that helps prospective students picture themselves at Toronto Film School and make an informed decision about their education.
  • Support the collection, review, and use of admissions data in accordance with policies, procedures, and provincial legislation.
  • Work closely with colleagues across teams to support shared objectives and occasional cross-functional initiatives.
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive culture that values equity, learning, wellness, and continuous improvement.
  • Operate in a structured, KPI-driven environment with daily, weekly, and quarterly targets related to outbound calls, pipeline activity, and enrollments.
  • Manage multiple prospective students at different stages of the admissions cycle while maintaining detailed and accurate records in CRM systems.
