Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on IT support experience in desktop support, network support, or systems administration.
  • Experience supporting Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office environments.
  • Familiarity with service desk ticketing systems and incident management processes.
  • Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN networking concepts including switching, routing, and wireless networking.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Experience supporting remote users and distributed offices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and user support mindset.
  • Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to changing business needs.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in distributed environments.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively with IT leadership and operational staff.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as the following are beneficial: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft certifications, Cisco or Meraki certifications.
  • Equivalent technical experience may substitute for formal education.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 / Office 365 administration and support.
  • Familiarity with Cisco Meraki networking equipment including security appliances, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Experience with Egnyte or similar enterprise cloud file storage platforms.
  • Experience supporting construction job sites or field office technology environments.
  • Experience supporting VPN, remote access, and secure connectivity solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide desktop and laptop support for assigned office locations and remote construction job sites.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems, applications, peripherals, and mobile devices.
  • Deliver excellent customer service through direct user interaction, remote support tools, and service desk ticketing systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN networking equipment including switches, wireless access points, and security appliances.
  • Support Cisco Meraki infrastructure, network connectivity, and performance monitoring across office and field locations.
  • Support Windows Server environments and cloud-connected services.
  • Maintain file storage platforms including Egnyte or similar enterprise cloud storage solutions.
  • Assist with user access management, security configurations, and routine maintenance activities.
  • Assist with planning, procurement, deployment, and lifecycle management of hardware and software solutions.
  • Support technology rollouts, office openings, project site setups, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Monitor network performance and system stability.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues across LAN, WAN, and remote access services.
  • Coordinate scheduled downtime, backups, and maintenance windows with impacted users and leadership.
  • Maintain and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for network configurations, system deployments, cabling layouts, and operational processes.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, configuration changes, and infrastructure updates.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on the effective use of enterprise technology including laptops, collaboration tools, and file systems.
  • Assist peers and users in troubleshooting and best practices.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for hardware maintenance, telecommunications services, and infrastructure support.
  • Assist with vendor troubleshooting and escalation.
  • Participate in IT status meetings, project discussions, and operational reviews.
  • Communicate with IT leadership regarding system issues, outages, or improvements.
  • Perform additional technology support or infrastructure tasks as assigned by IT leadership to support business operations and project needs.
