Regional Technician - Karnes City, TX
About The Position
Certarus is a North American provider of low-carbon energy solutions through compressed natural gas (CNG), renewable natural gas (RNG), and hydrogen. The Regional Technician installs, troubleshoots, and maintains Certarus equipment at CNG filling stations and customer sites. The role supports CNG delivery operations and provides technical assistance to the company and its customers. It reports directly to the Regional Operations Manager. The position follows a rotating day/night schedule of 8 days on and 4 days off, with the schedule designed to allow the employee to get home each day or night. Day/night rotation is required to support operations.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in a technician field role.
- Positive attitude with excellent communication and customer service skills.
Nice To Haves
- Associate of Applied Science in Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related field.
- Troubleshooting experience with regulators, valves, instrumentation, and electrical systems, or experience with gas processing equipment, including production, field gas, or gas compression.
- Class A CDL with Hazmat.
Responsibilities
- Assist with overall plant and fleet operations in the region while contributing to a safe working environment.
- Provide mechanical and technical services for process equipment and gas compression at Certarus hubs and customer sites.
- Set up and break down pressure reduction equipment at customer locations.
- Ensure internal policies and government safety and regulatory standards are met.
- Perform other duties as designated.
