About The Position

Aggreko is hiring a full-time Regional Technical Specialist to support the Gulf/South East region. This role helps ensure customers receive the electricity, heating, and cooling they need. The specialist supports technical sales questions, project planning and management, and service-center technician planning, while also performing equipment maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, setup, and operation at the shop and customer sites. The role may involve working independently or with other technicians and includes mentoring technicians as directed. Travel may be required for up to 50% of the time.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 5 years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
Experience calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
Ability to read and understand schematics.
Experience with 5S/6S (GSCS).
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to move or lift objects, typically weighing less than 50 lbs.
May be required, based on customer requirements, to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

Provide sales support for technical questions.
Participate in project planning meetings, travel to support projects, and support project management.
Partner with recruiting as a first interviewer and support the service center manager with technician planning.
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil-free air compressors.
Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and customer locations and perform repairs.
Mentor technicians as directed.
Set up and operate equipment at the shop and customer sites, either independently or with other technicians.
