About The Position

The Regional Support Specialist serves as a primary point of contact for assigned providers, families, and early learning community partners. This position specializes in supporting multi-site School Readiness (SR) and Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) providers, including large provider networks and organizations such as Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS), Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), Boys & Girls Clubs, RCMA, YMCA, and other providers operating multiple locations. The Regional Support Specialist is responsible for coordinating contract-related activities, supporting provider compliance with Division of Early Learning (DEL) requirements, maintaining provider records, and providing technical assistance related to SR and VPK programs. This position also supports School Readiness Tier 1 monitoring activities, VPK SIS processes, and School Readiness Staff Training Day requirements across all regions. As a liaison between ELCHC and the provider community, this position focuses on building positive relationships, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting providers in meeting program and contractual requirements.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree from an accredited institution in early childhood education, social services, or other closely related field preferred

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in executing early childcare provider contracts, Tier 1 monitoring, and CCR&R
  • Familiarity with Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) and School Readiness Health and Safety standards
  • This position requires successful completion of the level 2 background screening standards as set forth in s. 435.04, F.S.
  • Advanced organizational, analytical, project management, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to provide consultation and technical assistance
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Products
  • Knowledge of School Readiness and VPK policies and procedures (Florida Statutes and Florida Administrative Code)
  • Child Care Resource and Referral certification within the first 90 days of employment

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the contract process for assigned School Readiness (SR) and Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) providers from application through execution.
  • Manage contract requirements and documentation for multi-site providers and organizations operating multiple locations.
  • Provide technical assistance, training, and ongoing support to assigned providers regarding SR and VPK program requirements.
  • Conduct regular provider check-ins and maintain positive working relationships with provider partners
  • Review, update, and maintain provider information in state and local systems, including CCR&R and other applicable databases.
  • Monitor provider compliance with contractual requirements and maintain accurate records of provider activities and documentation.
  • Support School Readiness Tier 1 monitoring activities and related follow-up requirements.
  • Assist providers with VPK SIS processes and required documentation.
  • Coordinate and support School Readiness Staff Training Day requirements for contracted providers across all regions.
  • Enter and maintain detailed provider information in applicable state and local databases.
  • Provide accurate, timely, and professional communication to providers, families, community partners, and internal staff.
  • Maintain knowledge of DEL requirements, policies, and procedures related to SR and VPK programs.
  • Attend required trainings and professional development opportunities.
  • Perform other duties and special projects assigned to support organizational goals and objectives.
