About The Position

We manufacture, recycle, and market abrasive media to Distributors and End Users in a variety of markets including metal finishing, environmental, and ballast industries. To continue to grow we are seeking a regional sales representative to identify new business opportunities for recycling used abrasive media and sell client's abrasive products. This is a full-time, in-office position with regional travel required, covering the Midwest territory.

Requirements

  • Dedication to providing great customer service.
  • Flexibility of time management to be responsive to unscheduled, immediate needs.
  • 1-3 years minimum experience as sales representative or similar role.
  • Manufacturing or Industrial sales preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales or Business Development.
  • Active experience with all sales communication techniques (cold calls, emails, social media, etc.).
  • Experience with CRM software.
  • Expertise in using Microsoft Office with focus on MS Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Research and qualify companies as potential users of abrasive media that Client can purchase to recycle, and create opportunities to sell GMA products.
  • Update online CRM with all relevant information for recycling / sales leads and existing customers.
  • Contact potential customers or material sources through phone calls or emails and present Clients products and services.
  • Track, follow up, and report on purchase offers for spent abrasive opportunities.
  • Research, identify and generate new sales opportunities as directed by the National Sales Manager.
  • Build and maintain successful relationships with existing customers (Distributors and End Users) through phone calls or emails to discuss product needs.
  • Gather and report useful information from customer and competitor data.
  • Regional travel for onsite visits to existing and new customers required.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
