About The Position

Under broad administrative direction of the Director of Sales, the qualified candidate is responsible for providing clinical consultations and product information of California Specialty Pharmacy (CSP) portfolio to Prescriber offices within the assigned geographic area(s). The incumbent is accountable for providing a seamless solution for care coordination, clinical information support and value-based care for patients. This entails educating staff on CSP products and the use of the CSP portal. A key success will be to partner closely with the internal CSP departments to provide comprehensive coverage to prescriber offices. Customers include, but are not limited to, physicians, physician practices, nurses, social workers, physician offices managers, acute care settings, health systems, hospitals, patients and patient organizations.

Requirements

  • Completion of a four-year Bachelor’s degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Minimum of four (4) years experience preferred.
  • Prior retail pharmacy background required.
  • Strong knowledge of third-party billing and experience with private health plans and government programs is required.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written.

  • Strong computer skills in order to operate effectively with company systems and programs knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Access and Excel.
  • Knowledge of electronic health system medical record platforms, specialty therapy management, and patient outcomes platform.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve revenue sales & margin quotas as well as growth rates for the IVIG (Neurology, Allergy & Immunology, Rheumatology, Oncology)
  • Build prescriber base through organic business development & increasing scripts per prescriber.
  • Executes against CSP strategies/priorities.
  • Cultivates new business opportunities in the CA market.
  • Develop annual territory business plan with strategic direction from Sales Director.
  • On-boards new prescriber offices to CSP – provides training and information on products, clinical benefits, capabilities, drug techniques and how to use the CSP portal.
  • Educates staff on technical aspects of products and how to administer and prescribe CSP products.
  • Supports and educates prescribers on new drug launches and biosimilars.
  • Works closely with sales leadership to contribute to the strategic vision of the sales region.
  • Executes leadership strategies and priorities as communicated.
  • Responsible for account management of prescriber offices and serves as product selection expert.
  • Develops long-term relationships and influences prescriber offices to switch to CSP.
  • Leads quarterly business review (QBR) meetings with key prescribing offices.
  • Efficiently utilizes CSP reporting tools: Envoy (Data Analytics Platform), CRM system (ZoHo), Portal Analytics and Microsoft Teams.
  • Tracks current customer business.
  • Documents sales leads.
  • Complies with CSP expense reporting policy.
