The Regional Sales Manager oversees all customer sales and channel activities within the designated geographical region, with a primary focus on achieving revenue growth and profit objectives for the company. This role entails developing and implementing strategic initiatives to expand market coverage for Armstrong solutions within the commercial HVAC, commercial Plumbing, and Service marketplace. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships within our representative network and key stakeholders; including consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, and building owners, to ensure comprehensive coverage and support. In addition to annual initiatives, the key accountabilities of this position are: Business Development Activities: This involves executing the sales process to meet and exceed revenue targets within the assigned region, delivering the Armstrong Design Envelope Value Proposition. It also includes utilizing CRM software to track sales activities, manage leads, and generate reports for management review. The role requires cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with representatives, consulting engineers, contractors, and end users, serving as a trusted advisor and resource for their needs. This includes actively engaging with representatives to drive product awareness and increase market penetration, collaborating with consulting engineers to provide technical expertise and guidance on product selection and application, supporting contractors throughout the project lifecycle, from specification to installation and startup, ensuring smooth and successful project execution, and establishing rapport with end users to understand their specific requirements and provide tailored solutions to address their challenges. Regular meetings and site visits are conducted to foster relationships and address any concerns or inquiries promptly. Staying informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments is also crucial for strategic decision-making. Regional Leadership and Representation: This involves executing and supporting Vertical Segment initiatives within the region, expanding the Service network and growing Service revenue within the region. The manager must interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders and constituents and manage inter-customer relationships within the region to avoid conflict.
