United Way of Greater Atlanta (UWGA) is undergoing transformational change to raise and earn revenue for their mission to improve the well-being of half a million lives across the region. By tripling unrestricted revenue by 2029, UWGA plans to become the best-in-class investor in child well-being, eliminating barriers related to zip codes and significantly amplifying its impact. The Regional Development team enhances the organization's presence, reputation, and impact across 13 counties by engaging local stakeholders, driving improvements in Child Well-Being (CWB), and addressing community issues in a customized, future-forward way. They build local relationships, increase revenue, and ensure United Way's representation, thereby expanding presence, improving reputation, and amplifying impact. The Regional Director leads the development and execution of relationship-driven strategies across Cobb, Cherokee, Douglas, North Fulton, and Paulding counties to strengthen UWGA’s presence, partnerships, and impact in advancing economic mobility. This role focuses on cultivating and managing high-value relationships across government, education, business, and community sectors while aligning local engagement with regional and organizational priorities. The Regional Director operates within a tiered market approach, prioritizing time and effort based on opportunity, influence, and impact. Regional Directors serve as connectors across systems and stakeholders, driving collaboration, strengthening regional councils, and positioning UWGA as a backbone organization for economic mobility across the region. The role is also responsible for proactively identifying, cultivating, and advancing a healthy pipeline of prospective donors, partners, and revenue opportunities that support subregional growth, market penetration, and long-term organizational sustainability.
