About The Position

As our Regional Sales Manager based in Pittsburgh, PA, you will lead a team of 5 or more outside sales professionals across the region, driving both individual seller performance and overall business results. You will own the sales strategy, coach your team in the field, manage the pipeline, and build the kind of culture where sellers grow and customers stay. With the full backing of MCE and a growing product portfolio that includes top brands like Kaishan, Sullair, and Atlas Copco, you will have everything you need to compete and win. Requirements

  • 5 to 10 years of industrial sales experience with a strong track record of hitting and exceeding targets.
  • Leadership capability with the ability to coach, develop, and hold accountable a team of outside sales professionals.
  • Strong communication, analytical, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, professional, and highly accountable with a reputation for integrity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; comfortable with CRM and pipeline management tools.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven sales management experience with a structured, repeatable system for managing a team of 5 or more outside sales professionals.
  • Background in compressed air systems, vacuum equipment, or related rotating/fluid power equipment.
  • Industry knowledge from day one is a significant advantage in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise and coach a team of 5 or more outside sales professionals across the Pittsburgh region, driving performance through regular field ride-alongs, pipeline reviews, and one-on-one development.
  • Inspire, challenge, and performance-manage sellers using a structured, consistent sales process that scales across the team.
  • Interview, hire, onboard, and develop sales talent; maintain an active pipeline of ready-to-go candidates so the team is never short-staffed.
  • Conduct performance appraisals, address issues directly, and reward results consistently.
  • Develop and execute a regional strategy to sustainably grow market share, exceeding sales volume and gross profit targets.
  • Identify and evaluate new customers, market conditions, emerging opportunities, and competitive pressures across the territory.
  • Provide strategic direction and hands-on support to help the team penetrate key accounts and close major opportunities.
  • Achieve targeted business objectives including VMI programs, large customer acquisition, and store sales goals.
  • Maintain an active, accurate sales pipeline and provide regular forecasting and performance reporting to the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer.
  • Manage regional expenses responsibly and within budget.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with core vendor partners, including Kaishan, Sullair, Atlas Copco, Ingersoll Rand, and Kaeser.
  • Support the design and execution of marketing efforts that drive lead generation and brand awareness in the region.
