About The Position

Bonnell Aluminum is seeking a results-oriented Regional Sales Manager to drive business development across the Mid-Atlantic region. In this role, you will identify and win new business, strengthen relationships with existing customers, and help expand our position in key manufacturing markets. This position may be based anywhere within the assigned territory and requires regular travel throughout the region. The Mid-Atlantic territory includes South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Washington, D.C., West Virginia, Maryland, and eastern Pennsylvania. You will sell business-to-business to distributors, automotive component manufacturers, and architectural building and construction customers that serve the manufacturing industry. You will also identify attractive industries, evaluate growth opportunities, and align market demand with Bonnell’s operational capabilities and broad product offering, including mill and architecturally finished products. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial judgment, a proven track record of winning new business, and the ability to succeed in dynamic or challenging market conditions.

Requirements

  • 8–15 years of sales experience in metal stockholding, aluminum, stainless, aircraft metals, automotive metals, or distribution.
  • Manufacturing industry experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, depending on location.
  • A strong track record of identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Must reside within the assigned territory, preferably within reasonable access of a major airport.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify market opportunities, trends, and competitive insights.
  • Evaluate market opportunities in conjunction with operational capabilities.
  • Assess market size, regional characteristics, volume potential, required capabilities, pricing, competition, and internal production costs.
  • Develop sales strategies and recommend market penetration plans, including target accounts and lead generation initiatives.
  • Create and coordinate go-to-market plans and activities.
  • Track marketing initiative results, report findings, and refine market intelligence.
  • Represent Bonnell at industry events and with trade professionals.
  • Partner with the leadership team to develop and implement growth and performance strategies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations and other internal teams to achieve results.
  • Meet or exceed sales forecasts.
  • Use Salesforce to track leads, build pipeline, and maintain accurate opportunity data.
  • Consistently manage a full pipeline of qualified opportunities.
