About The Position

In this role, you will lead the commercial sales strategy across a multi-state region, ensuring strong execution, high-impact sales performance, and continuous growth. You will guide, develop, and inspire a team of Territory Managers while shaping regional business plans, forecasting needs, and aligning field activities with broader commercial goals. This position requires hands-on leadership, frequent field engagement, and the ability to analyze performance metrics to drive improvement. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to optimize market access, resource allocation, and messaging effectiveness. This role offers a high level of ownership, visibility, and influence in shaping regional success within a dynamic commercial environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent pharmaceutical sales management experience may substitute.
  • 8+ years of pharmaceutical or medical sales experience, with 3+ years of U.S. sales management preferred.
  • Demonstrated success launching new products, building teams, and driving commercial growth.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to influence at all organizational levels and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record in setting strategic priorities, managing budgets, and achieving measurable results.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, partners, and senior leaders.
  • Must reside within the assigned region and be willing to travel 50%–60%, including overnight stays.
  • Strong organizational discipline, goal orientation, and ability to deliver in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in cardiology markets such as statins, PCSK9, or NOAC is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement regional business plans, budgets, and action strategies to achieve commercial objectives.
  • Review performance metrics and collaborate with senior leadership to maximize sales results across the region.
  • Lead, coach, inspire, and develop Territory Managers, conducting regular field visits and timely Field Coaching Reports.
  • Conduct team meetings and provide strong leadership to ensure high levels of productivity, engagement, and compliance.
  • Work with market access teams to optimize reimbursement and payer-related opportunities.
  • Manage regional plans, including messaging priorities, reach and frequency, budget oversight, and goal-setting.
  • Evaluate account management performance to ensure efficient resource allocation and effective reporting.
  • Maintain office hours when not in the field and complete all training, compliance, and policy requirements on schedule.
  • Ensure all actions within the region adhere to legal, regulatory, and ethical standards, reflecting strong organizational values.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required to support overall commercial success.
