About The Position

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role managing a remote high-performing sales team.
  • Experience within the logistics/transportation industry (ideal if you have sold LTL and Parcel).
  • Strong understanding of pipeline management and new business development best practices.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to identify gaps and offer solutions to problems and growth opportunities.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week or more if required.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 20 lbs. unassisted.
  • May require repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
  • May require prolonged periods of sitting and/or driving throughout the workday.
  • Willing to travel to various job sites and other locations.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurability required when job duties require use of motor vehicle.
  • Requires exercising discretion in the decision-making process and maintaining strict confidentiality concerning the vendor, employee and company proprietary related information.

Responsibilities

  • Drives revenue growth by leading, coaching, and managing a team of sales representatives within a specific territory.
  • Sets regional sales targets, develops strategic plans, analyzes market trends, manages budgets, and cultivates key customer relationships to achieve or exceed quarterly and annual goals.
  • Leads, motivates, and develops a high-performing sales team focused on mid-sized accounts selling GLS's suite of services.
  • Reinforces and improves upon the current sales model, including training productivity metrics and performance management.
  • Proactively identifies and drives initiatives to increase new business development and account retention.
  • Analyzes sales activities to understand and optimize trends and patterns.
  • Achieves monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
  • Provides detailed analysis and performance reviews on the sales team's performance.
  • Effectively collaborates with other departments to achieve success.
  • May be required to perform tasks beyond those explicitly listed in this role.
